New details about the specifications of HTC Hima have been leaked on the internet, and it looks like it could be HTC's new flagship smartphone.
While many of us believed that HTC's successor to its HTC One M8 smartphone would be named the HTC One M9, renowned leaker @upleaks revealed that HTC could be dropping the 'M' naming convention and instead use the codename 'Hima'.
It now looks like @upleaks has got hold of Hima's specifications and has shared them on Twitter. If the specifications are true, then HTC's next flagship smartphone could be a doozy.
Hima's layers
According to the post the HTC Hima will come with an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor. It will have four cores running at 2.0Ghz and four cores running at 1.5GHz.
This will allow the HTC Hima to switch between the more powerful, yet more battery intensive, cores when working hard, then going back to the lower clocked cores when the extra power is not needed. This could help prolong battery life.
Backing up the processor is 3GB RAM. Hima will apparently also come with a 5-inch 1080p screen and VoLTE/CA/LTE Cat.6 network connectivity.
The rear facing camera will give the Sony Xperia Z3 a run for its money megapixel-wise with a whopping 20.7MP resolution, and it looks like the HTC Hima will get the 13MP front-facing camera found on the HTC Desire Eye.
Android 5.0 Lollipop is claimed to be installed with HTC's Android overlay Sense 7.0. The Hima's battery will be 2840mAh, which might not seem a great amount but considering the power efficient octa-core processor and a screen with a relatively sensible resolution of 1080p, it should still be plenty.
The HTC Hima might be replacing the HTC M9 then, but if these leaks are true it could well be a worthy replacement.
