E3 2014: PlayStation Now open beta on PS4 starts on July 31 in US and Canada

The PlayStation Now beta for PS4 begins on July 31 in the US and Canada, Sony announced at its E3 2014 press conference today.


This means that playing some of the classic games will be possible for the first time on Sony's new console.


Yes, just because PS4 isn't officially "backward compatible" doesn't mean you won't be able to play your old games. In fact, the open beta won't stop at the next-gen machine.


PS3, PS4 Vita and select Bravia TVs will eventually share in the PlayStation Now beta experience.


Gamers will be able to access to more than 100 PS3 games published by Sony, its partners and indie developers.


Titles mentioned include Dead Space 3, God of Was Ascension, MGS 5 Ground Zeros, Ratchet and Clank enter the Nexus Ultra Street Fighter 4.
